Hour of Power
The Hour of Power is a total body fitness class, based upon an approach to exercise and health known as Fitness4x4. It’s very title suggests that it is quite unlike any other in a 24hour day. Set to music and using hand-held weights, the Hour of Power is a cardio-vascular workout with a distinct difference. The difference is the use of the upper body to achieve an intense cardiovascular workout.
The Hour of Power was first introduced in London in 1985, in a format that has not been changed to this day. The reason for this is simple – the maximum results that it provides.

Total Body
The selection of movements and the structure of the workout is
such that practically every muscle group in the body, at various stages
of the workout, are connected with the cardio-vascular system and demanded
the highest performance. Unlike circuit training or conventional aerobics,
the Hour of Power truly is a full-body fitness experience,
with the upper body muscles expected to contribute just as much as the
lower body in this cardiovascular workout.
Take for example a typical cardiovascular training session such as running, where more than 70% of the body’s muscles (upper body) are barely involved in the workout whilst a few major muscles (legs) are required to perform. Such training clearly cannot bring about a condition known as total body fitness. The Hour of Power does provide you with Total Fitness because it does not leave out any part of the body in 60minutes of cardio-vascular training.
Arguably the most intense fitness class existing today. Participation is possible for all age / fitness levels due to the unique nature of Hour of Power which allows you to adjust the weight / intensity as you get fitter.
Simply magic !
